COAL LIQUEFACTION

PURPOSE:To make coal liquefaction easy, by adding coal to a mixture of a distillate of a plant of the family palm with an alkali solution, stirring them. CONSTITUTION:A plant such as coconut palsm of the family palm (preferably small curshed pieces of fruit) is subjected to dry distillation preferably at 120- 500 deg.C for 90min to give a distillate in a muddy state of mixed substances with color of yellowish brown and black. The former substance of the distillate is taken out by the difference of specific gravity, etc. and blended with an alkali solution such as an aqueous solution of an alkali (alkaline earth) metal salt to give a mixture. 45-55pts.wt. of the mixture is added to 100pts.wt. coal (preferably 80-100 mesh powder of bituminous coal or brown coal) and stirred at 40- 70 deg.C, to give a brown slurry substance. This substance is subjected to dry distillation to give liquefied coal.
