Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prepare antibiotic fortimicin A or B, by cultivating a microorganism belonging to the genus Dactylosporangium. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism such as Dactylosporangium sp. G308(FERM-P 6203) belonging to the genus Dactylosporangium, capable of producing antibiotic fortimicin A and B, is inoculated into a nutritive medium, cultivated preferably at 25-35 deg.C under aerobic conditions, and antibiotic fortimicin A or B is collected mainly from a culture solution.
