Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain a recording stylus which is free from electrode peeling and has excellent reproducing characteristics by diffusing metal in diamond, forming carbide of metal thereon and diffusing the carbide and the metal then coating metal thereof. CONSTITUTION:Metal such as Ti, Hf, Mo, W, Ta or Cr is ion-plated on diamond 1, and is ion-implanted at 150-200Angstrom into the diamond 1 to form a diffusion layer 2. A carbide layer 3 of metal of 200-300Angstrom wherein the metal and the diamond react is formed thereon. Thereafter, metal is coated thereon with a gradual decrease in the quantity of metallic ions to form a metallic layer 4 of about 2,000Angstrom thereon. Then the diamond recording stylus which is free from peeling in the electrode part during polishing and has excellent adhesive strength and reproducing characteristics is obtained. |
