Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain metallic molds having no level differences and clearances without requiring inserts for reinforcement in a process for production of metallic molds by a dual form method by dipping metallic shells for top and bottom molds formed by using both surfaces of sample panels in low m.p. metal. CONSTITUTION:A sample panel 1 and molding molds 8 of the surfaces having the shapes fitting to said panel are manufactured, and the panel 1 is adhered to the inner sides of the molds 8. Vent holes 9 are provided to proper positions. The molds 8 are preferably made of gypsum or plastics that withstand heating. Metallic shells 10, 11 (superplastic zinc alloy plates, etc.) for required top and bottom molds of suitable thicknesses are placed on the molds 8, and further a top cover 12 is put airtightly thereon, and the entire part is heated to about 260+ or -10 deg.C. While the assembly is maintained at said temps., compressed air is blown through a feed port 13 to mold the surface shapes of the shells 10, 11 to the required shapes confoming to the surface shapes of the panel 1. The shells are removed, and after the required parts in the end parts are cut off, T-shaped studs 14 for fixing are welded to the rear sides of the shells 10, 11, and the shell 11, the panel 1, and the shell 10 are superposed successively, whereby the metal molds are manufactured in accordance with the dural form method. |
