FOAMABLE CHLORINATED POLYVINYL CHLORIDE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:The titled composition, consisting of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride and a chemical foaming agent as principal components, capable of forming uniform fine bubbles by foaming at a low temperature, having a high softening temperature, and improved flame retardancy, and giving extrusion molded articles having high rigidity and improved creep characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A composition prepared by incorporating 100pts.wt. chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with 0.01-20pts.wt., preferably 0.05-5pts.wt., chemical foaming agent, e.g. azodicarbonamide or sodium bicarbonate, as principal components and if necessary 100pts.wt. or less vinyl chloride resin.
