Zusammenfassung:	The hydraulic system comprises a transmission piston (2) operable by a cam (1) and, connected to it by means of a control pipe (4), a piston (6) to actuate the valve (12). In order to ensure that the operating fluid of the hydraulic tappet is gas free, and without the need for an oil reservoir or a separate automatic oil refilling system, a permanent vent 5 is incorporated in the control pipe 4 and a pump (9) for the hydraulic control fluid is connected to a reservoir (42) of the automatic oil refilling system of the engine. The oil return via a pressure-maintaining valve (10) downstream of the pump (9) is into the reservoir (42) of the automatic refilling system.
