DUMP/RESTORE PROCESSING BETWEEN DISK AND TAPE

PURPOSE:To reduce processing time through execution of dump/restore processing taking an advantage of the storing record mode by supplying truck number information which accesses to a magnetic disc in logic truck sequence. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disc having each logic truck 1-0, 1-1,... is connected to a magnetic disc control unit DPC, and under the control of the control unit DPC, the dump/restore processing to the magnetic disc unit 7 is executed. With this control unit DPC, data buffers 9-0, 9-1,... Corresponding to the logic trucks 1-0.1, 1-1,... of a schedulling process section 8 and a disc unit is provided, and whether it is dump/restore greater than 1 cylinder or not is decided by the process section 8, the truck number information for having access in the sequence of a truck is supplied to buffers 9-0,9-1,... the dump/restore processing of the unit 7 is executed taking the advantage of the storing record and the processing time is reduced.
