PRODUCTION OF SPUN YARN

PURPOSE:Ribbon laps of different short fibers are placed on sliver rows and the pile is passed through a lapping gathere of a specific shape to produce a sheath- core type conjugate yarn free from cracking at joints even when twisted in the finish spinning. CONSTITUTION:Slivers of short fiber produced in fore spinning are arranged in a prescribed width and ribbon laps of slivers that is made of different kind of short fiber and narrower in width than the above silver is placed on the slivers at the center or a position a little deviated from the center. Then, they are passed through the lapping gatherer as described below and subjected to the fine spinning. The lapping gatherer is uniform in thickness all over the length and includes the first half 1 of inequilateral triangle, further the real-round guide cylinder 2 are connected to the outlet and the intermediate guide plate 3 that is similar to the above inequilateral triangle and smaller in the area is set in the first half.
