EUTECTIC PRESSURE WELDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To perform heating and pressurizing operations effectively by placing a sheet material producing an eutectic molten phase with base metals when heated between the base metals, heating these under application of low pressure, and so adjusting the heating as to stop the heating and apply high pressure when a required amt. of the eutectic molten layer is produced. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 3 of a dissimilar material having a m.p. lower than that of base metals 1, 3, and forming an eutectic molten phase with the base metals 1, 2 is sandwiched between the base metals 1 and 2. Electrodes 4, 5 are brought in contact with the base metals 1, 2 under low pressure, and electricity is conducted to heat these. When a required amt. of the eutetic molten phase is produced between the base metals 1, 2, the heating is stopped by a monitor control mechanism 7, and high pressure is applied upon the base metals 1, 2 by a pressurizing mechanism 6, whereby the metallic bond is caused. Thereby, the heating and pressurizing as well as the heating and pressurizing times are controlled sufficiently.
