BLOWER FOR BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of a blast furnace and to improve productivity by providing a regulating tuyere between a blow pipe and a stationary tuyere and regulating the blast directions in a blower. CONSTITUTION:In a blower for a blast furnace, a regulating tuyere 12 is disposed between a blow pipe 5 and a stationary tuyere 11. The tuyere 12 is couplied to the tuyere 11 in spherical joining construction by means of drivers 13 such as bolts and nuts. The blow pipe 5 is joined spherically with the tuyere 12. When a change in the blast direction occurs in the blast tuyere, the drivers 13 are operated to change the inclination of the tuyere 12, whereby the blast direction is regulated. According to this method, the blast direction is maintained at intended angles and therefore the conditions desirable for operation are given.
