HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING BODY

PURPOSE:To provide a novel heat-sensitive recording body excellent in light resistance, solvent resistance, long-term preservability and the like by a method wherein the molybdic acid salt of acylated leucomethylene blue is used as a color developer, and an inclusion compound capable of performing a redox reaction with the developer and forming a chelated complex therewith is used as a color coupler. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of (A) a reaction product of (a) acrylated leucomethylene blue (acid addition salt)[for example, 3,7-bis(dimethylamino)-benzoyl 10- phenothiazine or the like]and (b) a molybdenum (VI) compound not yet forming a complex (for example, ammonium molybdate or the like), which reaction product[for example, the molybdic acid salt of benzoyl leucomethylene blue or the like]is used as a color developer, (B) an inclusion compound capable of performing a redox reaction with the component A and forming a chelating complex therewith, which inclusion compound[for example, an inclusion compound of hydrochloric acid with hydroquinone, or the like]is used as a coloring component, and (C) a thermoplastic resin as a binder, is coated on a base such as a polyester film to produce the heat-sensitive recording body.
