DECORATED MEMBER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a decorated member having a specific decoration on the area mentioned later and showing a characteristic design effect by a method wherein a base surface on which a selected zone is coated with adhesives is covered with decorated layer material which comprises a separating layer on a obverse surface and a mold-releasing layer on a reverse surface. CONSTITUTION:For example, a selected zone (e.g., geometrical sexangle pattern 6) on the base surface made of a sheet 5 of ABS resin etc. is coated by a gravure plate roll etc. with adhesives (e.g., an adhesive made by mixing methylmetacrylate resin and vinyl chloride resin, or the like), the surface of mold releasing paper 1 is coated with a separating layer 2 of methylmetacrylate resin or the like and dried and then Al metal or the like is evaporated in vacuum on the separating layer 2 to obtain a decorated layer material 4. Then, the base and the decorated material 4 coated with adhesives are bonded under pressure between a metal roll and a rubber roll and then the mold-releasing paper 1 is separated to obtain a sheet of desired material expressing a feeling of aluminum in sixangles.
