EDITING SYSTEM FOR PICTURE INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To reproduce picture information after recording aretrieval title which coresponds to the picture information on a recording medium, then storing titled information in a storage device when performing edition such as deletion then storing a title, having no deletion code in another storage device. CONSTITUTION:Picture information is set on a two-dimensional device 3 and a retrieval title is inputted by an input device 2. Then, the pciture information is recorded on the infromation recording track of a corresponding magnetic tape 5 through a page buffer 6, and at the same time, a CPU12 stores the retrieval title in an RAM16. After pieces of picture information are recorded, respective titles in a RAM16 are transferred to another recording track of a magnetic tape. When a magnetic tape having picture information with an added deletion code is loaded on a device 51 and an unrecorded magnetic tape is loaded on the device 52 for a copy mode, the retrieval title of the magnetic tape is stored in an RAM15 by reading the track entirely and a title having no added deletion code is stored in the RAM16, thereby reproducing picture information on the basis of the title.
