CALIPER BRAKE

PURPOSE:To increase an effect of brake action and prevent generation of vibration, by rotatably supporting point end parts of left and right arches to pivotal shafts with a tilt angle toward the inside from the braking surface of a rim and interposing springs between the point end part and arch main unit. CONSTITUTION:Point end parts 1a, 2a of left and right arms 1, 2, expanding and contracting for a rim 16, are rotatably supported by pivotal shafts 3, 4 with a tilt angle of each axial line toward the inside from braking surfaces 16a of the rim 16. Between the point end parts 1a, 2a and left and right arm main units 1b, 2b, springs 5, 6 are interposed to support brake rubbers 7, 8 so that their braking surfaces may be almost in parallel to the rim braking surfaces 16a. In this way, an effect of brake action of the brake rubbers 7, 8 can be rapidly increased, further vibration is not caused to eliminate generation of a ringing noise.
