Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To purify the titled substance, by treating raw coenzyme Q containing ubichromenol as impurity with a trivalent iron, nickel, or cobalt compound so that ubichromenol is modified and removed. CONSTITUTION:A solution of raw coenzyme Q containing at least ubichromenol as impurity in a hydrophobic solvent, e.g., n-hexane, heptane, ethyl ether, etc. is brought into contact with a trivalent iron, nickel or cobalt compound. The compound is hydrochloride, acetate, nitrate, etc. and the contact may be solid-liquid or liquid-liquid contact. By this contact, ubichromenol is modified, and modified ubichromenol is separated and removed by silica gel chromatography, etc.
