MANUFACTURE OF WATER GATE MADE OF REINFORCED PLASTIC

PURPOSE:To obtain a water gate having excellent corrosion resistance and excellent durability by method in which beams molded of a reinforced plastic material are arranged at given intervals on a skin plate molded of the same plastic material and then bonded with the same reinforced plastic material. CONSTITUTION:A skin plate 1 of a size corresponding to that of a water gate is obtained by alternately laminating an unsaturated polyester or epoxy resin and glass fiber. Then, beam materials 2 and 3 of chamber or H shaped cross section are molded of the same reinforced plastic material as that used for the said skin plate 1 by a hand lay-up method. And, the beam materials 2 and 3 are arranged at given intervals on the back side of the skin plate 1 and then bonded together with the same reinforced plastic material.
