MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent trouble in which tape is jumped out of a cassette, by providing a left/right asymmetrical insertion inlet at the front and enabling to insert a cassette tape while loading a rotating stopper. CONSTITUTION:At an insertion inlet 2 which is asymmetrical for left and right side, a cassette tape is slotted in. A front panel is provided around the inlet 2, and a push button 3 is provided. In Figure in which the internal state is shown just before the cassette tape is ejectes through ejecting operation, a rotating stopper 4 and a stopper holding metal fixture 5 are supported with a support metal fixture from the mechanism. After the cassette tape 7 is inserted from the inlet 2 and pushed with a cassette holder 6 horizontally, it is lifted down and inserted to a reel shaft 8. Such a mechanism and a mechanism moving the cassette holder 6 reversingly with the ejection are the same as the known slot-in system mechanism.
