Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a base, etc. for a detergent, which has high safety, does not use an activator and removes the fouling of oil, by solubilizing a nonaqueous substance by a polyhydroxy compound or its aqueous solution in the presence of specified content or higher protein. CONSTITUTION:The nonaqueous substance, such as animal and vegetable oils and fats, hydrogenated animal and vegetale oils and fats, etc. is solubilized in the polyhydroxy compound or its aqueous solution in the presence of the protein in quantity, which is 5% or more, normally, 5-25%, in total solution. The substance to be solubilized is solubilized in such a manner that the protein is added to the polyhydroxy compound or its aqueous solution, the substance to be solubilized is dropped to the mixture under agitation, and the substance to be solubilized is uniformly dispersed into the solution containing the polyhydroxy compound. The protein having not less than 10,000 molecular weight is preferable, and milk protein, soybean protein, etc. are employed. Ethylene glycol, etc. are used as the polyhydroxy compound.
