Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:Titlted material having good underwater adhesion to base materials, good operability and a long anticorrosive life, prepared by adding glass flakes, inorganic compounds, a cure accelerator and a diacyl peroxide type curing agent to a specified unsaturated polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:An underwater-curable anticorrosive material prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. unsaturated polyester resin which is a member or a mixture of members selected from the group consisting of isophthalic acid types, terephthalic acid types a Het Acid types, with 5-50pts.wt. glass flakes and 5-50pts.wt. inorganic oxide, e.g., Fe2O3, and/or inorganic sulfate compound, e.g., BaSO4 and further with a cure accelerator, e.g., dimethyl-aniline, and a diacyl peroxide type curing agent of the formula, wherein R1 and R2 are each methyl, isopropyl, heptyl, phenyl, or p- chlorophenyl, e.g., benzoyl peroxide. This composition, when applied underwater, shows good adhesion and wettability to the base material and therefore it has good operability such that almost no composition floates during application. This composition can give films having a long anticorrosive life. |
