Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To open and close the slits accurately by a small driving force, by rotating a supporting shaft which is fixed to the central part of a rotating part, and varying the widths of an incident slit and an emitting slit by the same degree of opening. CONSTITUTION:Upper edges 3a and 7a of the incident slit 3 and the emitting slit 7 of a longitudinal spectroscope are sttached to an edge attaching plate 11. Lower edges 3ba and 7b of the incident slit 3 and the emitting slit 7 are attached to an edge attaching plate 12. When the supporting shaft 16 which is fixed to the central part of the rotating plate 15 is rotated, the edge attaching plates 11 and 12 are moved up and down, and the slit widths are expanded or contracted.
