Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a large-capacity gasifying burner, which is safe, small and free from the fear of back-fire, by ejecting fuel vaporized in vaporizing pipes from an injection nozzle into a mixing chamber, mixing the fuel with air supplied from an air preheater, and then burning the same on a porous plate. CONSTITUTION:In starting operation of the burner of this invention, fuel oil supplied from a fuel oil inlet 1 is carried into vaporizing pipes 2 and then to a starting heater section 5 via a mixing chamber 8. In the heater section 5, fuel is heated and gasified, and then ejected into the mixing chamber 8 from an injection nozzle 6. In the mixing chamber 8, gasified fuel is mixed with heated air supplied from preheating-air inlet ports 9 which are formed around the periphery of the chamber 8 at its rear end portion, and therafter ejected through a combustion surface 4 for combustion thereon. An overheat protecting chamber 3 is heated by the combustion flame on the surface 4, and the heat is transmitted to the vaporizing pipes 2 extended through the inside of the chamber 3. After the operation is once started, fuel oil supplied from the inlet 1 is heated and gasified while passing through the inside of vaporizing pipes 2, and continuous operation is started by stopping current supply to the heater 5.
