Zusammenfassung:	NEW MATERIAL:A hydrid plasmid, containing fragments of DNA homologous with the part of the chromosome is Bacillus subtilis to be a host, fragments of DNA derived from a plasmid multipliable with the Bacillus subtilis, and the first DNA capable of developing a character useful for selecting the formed transformant by the complementation by the recombination with the homologous part of the host chromosome. EXAMPLE:pUBHA31DNA. USE:The transformation of Bacillus subtilis is possible at a high frequency. The production amount can be increased by the integration of a gene capable of producing useful substances. PROCESS:A plasmid pUB110 derived from Staphylococcus aureus and a phage derivative containing integrated host chromosomal DNA fragments P11hisA are severed by ECORI, and the formed plasmid fragments are joined to the host fragments with DNA ligase and transduced into combinant Bacillus subtilis. The aimed cloned hybrid plasmid pUBHA31 is recovered from the formed transformant.
