Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve machining speed by controlling charge voltage of the capacitor, in a wire cut discharge machining power source equipment. CONSTITUTION:A switching element of a transistor 14 or the like is turned ON or OFF in its control. At the time of the ON condition, a capacitor 15 is charged, and its terminal voltage is applied between a wire electrode 17 and a work 16, so that discharge machining is performed. Besides, an auxiliary switching element of a transistor 24 or the like is connected in parallel with the switching element, and when a means integrated by a comparator 43, a monostable circuit 45, etc. detects that the terminal voltage of the capacitor 15 has come to be high level H2, the switching element is made into the OFF condition. Thereafter, when the comparator 41 detects that the terminal voltage of the capacitor 15 is abated to intermediate level H1 because of the leakage current between the wire terminal 17 and the work 16, the auxiliary switching element is made into the ON condition. Further, when the comparator 43 and a monostable circuit 44 detect that, discharge is produced and the terminal voltage of the capacitor 15 is abated to low level L1, the auxiliary switching element is turned OFF, and ON/OFF control of the switching element is initiated.
