TREATMENT OF IRON-CONTAINING SLUDGE

PURPOSE:To mold iron-contg. sludge to granular pellets and to control grain sizes through controlling of the temp. of waste gases by charging said sludge into a kiln of which both end parts are formed to a circular conical shape and roasting the sludge. CONSTITUTION:Iron-contg. sludge 25 is charged through a sludge hopper 4 into a barrel type kiln 1. The charged sludge 25 is roasted by the heat of the combustion of the waste fats and oils which are fed forcibly from a waste fats and oils pit 13 and are supplied from burners 6, 7 and the air from a blower 18. The klin 1 rotates at 0.5-1r.p.m., and during this time, the sludge 25 is kneaded and granulated, and the granules are discharged through a discharge part 3.
