Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To provide the titled coated material having a fine and highly lustrous coated surface without using any polishing compound by coating the surface of a substrate with a metallic powder-contg. paint, and then with a specified vinyl polymer-contg. paint as topcoat, and curing it. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a substrate such as a metal e.g. iron or aluminum, or natural or synthetic wooden material, is coated with a metallic powder and colored pigment-contg. paint such as an aminoalkyd resin or an acrylic enamel resin. Then the coated surface is coated with a paint contg., as a main component, a silyl group-contg. vinyl (co)polymer which has at least one silicon atom bonded to a hydrolyzable group in the molecule at its terminal or on its side chain and in which the main chain is composed of a vinyl polymer. Then the paints are cured to obtain a coated material having metallic finish. Said paint as a non-polish paint can give a fine and highly lustrous coated surface without using any polishing compound. An example of said vinyl copolymer is a styrene/butyl acrylate/methyl methacrylate/gamma-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane copolymer. |
