IDENTIFICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To enable the display of various kinds of cathode-ray tubes put on rests for conveynace and storage, by setting a display unit on a rest and fitting a plurality of display elements in the display unit so that the display elements can be slid and by arranging the display elements. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-ray tube A is put on a rest 2 for conveyance and storage. The display elements 15 of a display unit 11 for the rest 2 are all pushed up to prescribed upper positions by a clearing unit 38 provided halfway at a roller conveyor 28, so that the display elements are cleared. After that, the rest 2 is transferred onto a setting unit 51. Tube kind information put in an electronic computer 54 is used as an instruction signal to selectively push the display elements down by the setting unit 51 to indicate what kind of cathode ray tube A is supported on the rest 2, by the arrangement of the states of opening and closing of reflection tapes 17b provided in the display elements 15. If the display unit 11 undergoes wrong setting, the display elements 51 are all cleared to the prescribed upper positions by the clearing unit 56 to return to the rest 2.
