Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To use effectively the display area of a display medium to improve the rate of correct read when the display medium for display of information cannot be enlarged, by adding recognition marks on both sides of read information to display read information. CONSTITUTION:Numbers 2, 5, and 7 of read information are displayed on the first row of a card CD as an information display medium, and a start mark 1 and an end mark 2 as recognition marks are added on both sides of numbers 2, 5, and 7 of read information. Similarly, the start mark 3 and the end mark 4 are added on both sides of read information A and C on the second row. These display data are read in an optical information reader by a color TV or the like, and picture data are made binary, and marks 1 and 2 are discriminated to confirm ranges of information recognition in the first row and the second row, and numbers 2, 5, and 7 and information A and C of read information are recognized without errors.
