PHOTOSENSITIVE AND HEAT SENSITIVE TYPE RECORDING MEMBER

PURPOSE:To considerably increase the fixing sensitivity by laying a basic substance producing layer contg. cobalt, a viologen deriv. represented by a specified general formula and a ruthenium (II) trisbipyridine complex represented by a specified general formula and a color developing layer on a support. CONSTITUTION:A support 1 is coated with a basic substance producing layer 2 composed chiefly of a cobalt (III) amine complex and/or a cobalt (III) ammine complex, a viologen deriv. represented by formulaI(where each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, and X is halogen), a ruthenium (II) trisbipyridine complex represented by formula II (where bpy is bipyridine and X is halogen), ethylenediaminetetraacetate and a binder. The layer 2 is further coated with a color developing layer 3 composed chiefly of a photooxidizing agent, a coupler developing color by oxidation, an acid promoting the color development and a binder to form a photosensitive and heat sensitive type recording member.
