Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To make able to maintain a ship course, by installing a fixed post and a movable post on the top of the hull at the quarter in order to keep the course of a ship at the time of stormy weather and suchlike, changing angles of a canvas-make rudder being spread between the two posts. CONSTITUTION:When a ship suffers a strong wind, a movable post 9 moves backward manually and, upon transfer from a rectilinear groove 6 to a circular groove 7, a canvas-make rudder 11 is spread out at the rear of a funnel 1. Next, a hook 17 of wire ropes 16, left and right, is hooked in each of eyeplates 10 of the movable post 9 to stretch the wire ropes. Then, a winch 15 is remote-controlled, playing out the wire ropes 16 and winding it, the movable post 9 is shifted its position along the circular groove 7 and simultaneously with change in angles inside the horizontal surface of the rudder 11, this rudder is to be fixed at an optional position. Therefore, when the rudder 11 changes its angle in accordance with a shift of wind and its velocity, a ship course can be kept constant in combination with the underwater rudder and safety navigation is thus assured. |
