BIMORPH TYPE CERAMIC PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To ensure the stable electric conduction, by adhering two sheets of ceramic elements to each other by an intermediate electrode. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate electrode 3 is formed at the junction surface between ceramic elements 1 and 2, and at the same time edge electrodes 4 and 5 are formed on the outer surfaces opposite to said junction surface. The elements 1 and 2 are adhered firmly to each other by the electrode itself. The single plate of these elements 1 and 2 are stacked on the surface coated with the metallic paste and heated up to 600-850 deg.C. As a result, the metallic paste is baked to form a layer-shaped intermediate electrode between the polymerized surfaces of the single plate of the elements 1 and 2. At the same time, the elements 1 and 2 are adhered to each other by means of the intermediate electrode.
