APPARATUS FOR ARRANGING CHARACTER WITH KANA

PURPOSE:To make possible the arrangement of KANZI with KANA automatically by a method wherein, depending on the combination of the number of KANA and that of KANZI, inputs of giving KANA, the number of KANA and that of KANZI are employed and the spacing between KANA and that between KANZI are set up by means of the inputs. CONSTITUTION:In an input device provided in a part 1 other than those where characters 11 and KANA 11' are provided on a keyboard 12 of a typewriter, a plurality of combinations of the number of KANA 7 and that of KANZI 8 which are frequently used are arranged in order. If the operator manipulate a type-bar 13 by matching a guide 9 with one of the combinations, inputs of giving KANA, the number of KANA and that of KANZI are applied to an operation control device 4. Then the operation control device sets up the spacing between KANA and that between KANZI, and the initial positions of the KANZI and KANA, and controls giving KANA at the time of KANA printing, subsequent setting the initial position at the time of KANZI printing and further the addition of the KANZI.
