Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To perform joining of high speed and high mass productivity in an eutectic press welding method by providing parts of large electric resistance in the parts of electrodes in proximity to joining parts and elevating the temp. of the contact surfaces of base materials with an eutectic material by the heat evolved by these. CONSTITUTION:An eutectic material 7 is sandwiched between the flange surfaces of pipes 5, 6, and electrodes 3, 4 on the side in proximity to the joining parts thereof are made of a ferrous alloy having an electric resistance ratio about 10 times that of elctrodes 1, 2. Since these parts are in a high temp. state always, they are required to be particularly highly resistant to heat. If durability is required, these are melt sprayed with molybdenum, chromium, etc. When electric current flows to the electrodes 3, 4 of high electric resistance from the steel electrodes 1, 2 upon conduction of electricity, these evolve heat, and the heat evolved by these transfers to the joining parts of pipes 5, 6, thereby melting the material 7 and press welding the pipes. |
