Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1. A process for the production of a 1-(2-phenylethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole of the general formula I see diagramm : EP0063099,P14,F2 wherein Ar is phenyl or phenyl substituted by C1 -C4 alkyl, C1 -C4 alkoxy, cyano, nitro trifluoromethyl or by 1 to 3 halogen atoms, and R is hydrogen, C1 -C10 alkyl, C2 -C5 alkenyl, C3 -C8 cycloalkyl, C1 -C4 alkyl or C1 -C4 alkyl substituted by C3 -C8 cycloalkyl or by phenyl which may in turn be unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1 -C4 alkyl or C1 -C4 alkoxy, which process comprises reacting a phenylketone of the formula II see diagramm : EP0063099,P14,F5 wherein Ar and R are as defined for formula I, first with a 1H-1,2,4-triazol-yl-methylphosphonate of the formula III see diagramm : EP0063099,P14,F6 wherein each R1 independently of the other is phenyl or C1 -C4 alkyl, or with a phosphonium salt of the formula IV see diagramm : EP0063099,P14,F8 wherein each of the radicals R2 independently of one another is phenyl or C1 -C4 alkyl or C1 -C4 alkyl substituted by hydroxyl, and Hal is chlorine, bromine or iodine, in an inert solvent and in the presence of a strong base, to give a 1-(styryl-2)-1H-1,2,4-triazole of the formula V see diagramm : EP0063099,P14,F10 wherein Ar and R are as defined for formula I, and then converting this compound by catalytic hydrogenation into a compound of the formula I.
