COP-YARN EDGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To improve the operating rate by holding the edge of the cop-yarn obtained by a fine spinning machine etc. in attracted state and dropping the cop- yarn onto a receiving board, with its bottom, facing downward and holding the yarn in vertical state, and detecting the loosening of yarn twist in the intermediate stage and performing yarn cut, yarn edge processing, and delivery, according to the result of detection. CONSTITUTION:The edge of the cop-yarn 1 held in the horizontal position is drawn-out by a thread edge device 7, and the yarn edge is attracted and held by a nozzle 16. The cop-yarn 1 is dropped onto a receiving board 49, with its bottom 13 facing downward from a hopper 10 through a guiding cylinder 19 and an intermediate cylinder 35 and held in the vertical state. Thus, twist of thread 67 is loosened. When loosening of thread is detected optically by a detector 22, a thread cutter 23 and a suction port 53 operate to cut yarn, and the edge of the cop-yarn is attracted into a bobbin hole. Normal or abnormal state of loosening of thread is detected according to the result of the detection described the above, and a cylinder 30 or 31 operates to tilt the intermediate cylinder 25 right or left to deliver the cop yarn into the good or the wrong class. Thus, the operating rate of the whole equipment can be improved.
