Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a thin and light-weight compact having an impact-resistant mirror, by planishing the reverse surface of the lid of a compact manufactured by the injection molding of a synthetic resin, metallizing the planished surface, coating with an ultraviolet-curing adhesive, and irradiating with ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing of the lid 1 of a compact by the injection molding of a thermoplastic synthetic resin, the reverse surface 1a of the lid is planished with the mold. A metallic layer 2 (preferably aluminum layer) is applied to the planished face 1D by vacuum deposition, and is coated with an ultraviolet-curing adhesive (e.g., polyfunctional acrylate) which is clear or becomes clear after curing. The overcoat layer 3 is covered with a transparent film 6, pressed, and irradiated through the film with ultraviolet rays to cure the overcoat layer. The lid having a plane mirror A at the reverse side can be obtained by removing the film from the overcoat layer.
