AIR CONDITIONER FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To enable the automatic comfortable shifting of blowoff depending on the changes in the internal and external air temperatures, by providing program switches interlocked with a temperature control air mixing gate and having cooling and heating contacts and by providing an internal and an external air temperature switches for controlling the contacts of the program switches. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of the air in an automobile and that of the external air are lower than the set levels of temperature switches 18, 17, contacts 17a, 18a are turned on to apply electric power to a power supply circuit 19a, to turn on a program switch 19b for heating. At that time, a negative pressure changeover valve 20 acts to move an actuator 12 to control a diverter gate 11 to open a warm air blowoff port. When the internal and external air tempera tures are not lower than the set levels of the temperature switches 17, 18, contacts 17b, 18b are turned on to apply electric power to a power supply circuit 19c to turn on a program switch 19d for air conditioning. At that time, a cool air blowoff port is opened. When the external air temperature is lower than the set level but the internal air temperature is higher than the set level, the contact 18b is closed to turn on a program switch 19d for air conditioning to drive the air conditioner until the air temperature in the automobile becomes lower than the set level.
