Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a compsn. having excellent weather resistance and useful as paint, consisting of a silyl group-contg. vinyl resin having a main chain composed mainly of a polyvinyl type polymer chain and contg. a silicon atom attached to a hydrolyzable group on its side chain or at its terminal and an ultraviolet light absorber. CONSTITUTION:0.1-30pts.wt. Benzophenone or benzotriazole ultraviolet light absorber such as 2-hydroxy-4-benzophenone is mixed with 100pts.wt. vinyl resin having a main chain composed mainly of a vinyl polymer chain and contg. a silyl group having a silicon atom attached to a hydrolyzable group such as halogen (such as a group of the formula wherein X is a hydrolyzable group; R1-2 are each H, a 1-10C alkyl, aryl, arakyl; n is 1-3) on its side chain or at its terminal, to obtain the title compsn. This compsn. is cured at a low or ordinary temp. to form a resin having excellent weather resistance and adhesion. Thus, this compsn. is useful as various paint and coating agents.
