ROTOR COIL FOR ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE

PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease of the resin immersing property of a ground insulating layer by forming a preformed ring as a supporting member disposed around the outer periphery of a rotor coil projected to the end of a rotor, thereby eliminating the compression force to the rotor coil. CONSTITUTION:An FRP ring preformed through polyester non-woven fabric 9 is engaged with the outer periphery of a rotor coil 2 projected from the end face of a rotor core 1. A plurality of FRP rings 8 are spaced axially, thereby supporting the rotor coil 2. Since no compression force is applied to the coil 2 as compared with the case that a binding wire is wound in this manner, the resin immersing capacity to the ground insulating layer is not lowered, thereby enhancing the reliability.
