Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prepare a novel antibiotic D-606 A having antimicrobial action on various kinds of molds and yeast, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium such as Streptomyces gannmycicus D-606 A strain (FERM-P 5973) belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing a novel antibiotic D-606 A, is inoculated into a nutrient medium, cultivated in a pH of 5.5-8.0 under aerobic conditions, and D-606 A is collected from the culture solution.
