Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prepare a feed having a marked growing effect, by using a clear filtrate obtained by fractionating distillers' solubles. CONSTITUTION:Distillers' solubles which are a distillation waste liquor of whisky are centrifuged or filtrated to give a clear filtrate, which is optionally further filtered through a membranous filter to remove a high polymer. Alternatively, an organic solvent, e.g. ethanol, is added to form a precipitate, which is dried to give a powder, or converted into a concentrate. The resultant powder or concentrate is then mixed with another raw material to prepare a feed for a domestic fowl, cattle or pig. The active constituent thereof has an effect on the activation of rumenal microorganisms.
