Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a thin and lightweight compact with a mirror, by mirror finishing the back of the cover body of a synthetic resin-made compact and after vacuum-depositing a metal layer on it, superimposing a transparent film via an ultrviolet-curing adhesive, then irradiating with ultraviolet ray. CONSTITUTION:At first the cover body 1 of compact having a mirror plane part 1b of surface rougness preferably less than 0.2S and a peripheral groove 5 etc. is formed by injection molding etc. of thermoplastic synthetic resin of PE, PS etc. Then, a metal layer 2 of aluminum etc. is formed on the plane part 1b of the cover body 1 by vacuum deposition method so that its film thickness becomes preferably more than 400Angstrom . A transparent ultraviolet-curing adhesive layer 3 of polyfunctional acrylate etc. is applied on the metal layer 2 and a laminate type transparent film 4 composed of a hard coat layer 4a on one side and a synthetic resin layer 4b having compatibility and close adherence with an adhesive layer 3 on another side is laminated and pressed on it, the adhesive layer 3 is cured by irradiating with ultraviolet ray, thus the cover 7 having a plane mirror A on its back formed.
