CHARACTER CONTROL SYSTEM IN KANJI PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To alleviate user's burden and to reduce errors, in the KANJI processing system including a plurality of KANJI input/output devices, by preparing character specifying registers including all the characters which can be used in a plurality of kinds of devices. CONSTITUTION:A temporary master file 4 is prepared from magnetic tapes 1 and 2, wherein basic codes, and their corresponding KANJI fonts, and other dodes and their corresponding KANJI fonts are stored, by a merging means 3. The OR values of the contents of both tapes are taken in the temporary master 4. A list, which includes all data for the characters which have fonts at least in one tape, is prepared and printed on a Japanese language line printer and the like. The character specifying register 5 is thus obtained. The user writes his data in the specifying register 5. Then, it is inputted to the character controlling system 6, the temporary master 4 is modified, and a character controlling master 7 is prepared. Based on the master 7, a conversion table 8 for KKB load surface codes vs. JEF codes and a conversion table 9 for LDP board surface codes vs. F codes are automatically prepared. Therefore, after the user has only specified the register, the entire processing is automatically performed.
