Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To accelerate the burning speed of powdery coal as well as to perfectly burn said coal, by drying the powdery coal immersed in an aqueous nitrate solution. CONSTITUTION:Coal is ground to a particle size of 1-10mm. (a size passing a screen with a pore size of said particle size) and immersed in 1-10% aqueous solution of a nitrate such as KNO3 or NaNO3 for 5-30hr and, after immersion, dried. Generally, about 3% of water is contained in coal but said aqueous solution penetrates into caol to be replaced with the water therein. When the immersed powdery coal is dried and ignited as a fuel, the powdery coal is burnt and oxygen is released from nitrate contained therein by heating to promote and expedite the burning thereof and effect the complete combustion of the powdery coal.
