PLATE LIKE CATALYST

PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion of a catalyts surface, as the catalyts for denitrating a waste gas, by arranging plural plate like catalysts having plural produced parts at intervals parallelly. CONSTITUTION:As the plate having catalyst for denitrating waste gas exhausted from a boiler or the like, the plate like catalyst 1 having plural protruded parts such as a wire 3 or the like continuously at intervals so as to be almost at a right angle to a gas stream 4 is arranged prallelley in plural numbers. By this structure, behind the wire 3, the gas is whirled in a layer thinner than the thickness thereof and dust in the gas is entrapped in the whirled stream and accumulated on the catalyst but, when the thickness of dust is grown to the thickness of the wire 3, it is not grown further. By this mechanism, the accumulated dust layer prevents direct contact of the catalyst surface and the gas stream and abrasion of the catalyst is prevented.
