Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To efficiently recover collected zinc dust in a nonoxidizing atmosphere with a recovering apparatus for zinc composed of a rotary melting furnace provided with a solid-vapor separator and of a zinc dust feeder feeding zinc dust mixed with an inert gas to the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Zinc dust generated in a plated steel pipe 30 during plating is fed to zinc dust collectors 11, 12 with steam blown by working an exhaust fan 13 and an internal blower 25. In the collectors 11, 12 most of the dust is captured, and the remaining fine zinc dust is captured with the next bag filters to collect almost all of the dust. A considerable amount of the collected zinc dust is supplied to mixers 14, 15 and mixed with an inert gas fed by opening on-off valves 19, and the mixture is fed to a rotary melting furnace 1. The dust in the furnace 1 id separated with a soild-vapor separator 9 and rapidly melted by heating while in contact with the rotating wall of the furnace and a molten zinc bath. Molten zinc accumulated in the furnace 1 is charged into a galvanizing tank 24 from the outlet 10.
