Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve uniformity in the dyeing of a polymer article, by subjecting a polymer article composed mainly of diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate to an activated gas and/or an ionizing radiation treatment. CONSTITUTION:Not less then 50mol% of diethylene glycol biallyl carbonate and not more than 50mol% of other copolymerizable monomer such as styrene are cast-polymerized in the presence of a free radical generating polymn. initiator to produce a polymer article which is then treated with an activated gas under a pressure of 10-10Torr and/or is irradiated with ionizing radiation in the range of 0.1-10M rad to treat the surface of said polymer article. EFFECT:The polymer article can be uniformly dyed by using a disperse dye. USE:Sunglass lens, optical filters, etc.
