POWER STEERING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To keep the slant of a C type spring sandwiching projections constant by providing a plural number of projection at least on one side out of those projections which rotate integrally with a pair of control valve elements, and placing the other side projection between the above plural projections. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2 are adapted to relatively rotate by a fixed distance by means of an engagement portion 8 formed on the input shaft 1 and a groove 9 formed on the output shaft 2. The input shaft 1 has a projection 10 and the output shaft 2 has a projection 11 respectively formed thereon. A projection 17 is formed on a valve sleeve 14 which is connected to the projection 11 formed on the output shaft 2 through an engagement groove 15. And respective projections 10, 11, 17 mentioned above are sandwiched between end faces of a C type spring 12 extending around the engagement portion 8 and the groove 9. Consequently, when the input shaft rotates relatively to the output shaft, a force F effected on the projection 10 is supported through the projections 11, 17 preventing the C type spring from slanting.
