Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. suitable for use in the production of magneic cards, magnetic tapes, etc., containing a magnetic pigment, a polycarboxylate salt, an alkyl (aryl)polyether type surfactant and an aq. emulsion. CONSTITUTION:The titled compsn. contains a magnetic pigment such as gamma- Fe2O3, a polycarboxylate salt such as Orotan 731 (a product of Rohm & Hass Co.), an alkyl (aryl)polyeher type surfactant such as Emulgen 810 (a product of Kao-Atlas K.K.) and an aq. emulsion. Foaming or agglomeration is not caused, and hence the surface treatability and dispersibility of the magnetic pigment are not damaged. There can be obtd. a magnetic water paint compsn. which gives a final coating film having excellent magnetic characteristics and electromagnetic transduction characteristics and does not adversely affect water resistance and film strength.
