PROGRAMMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To relieve a load on a user side by eliminating an error in operation by displaying the order of keying operation on pilot lamps of the programming device of a programmable controller, etc. CONSTITUTION:A pilot lamp 1a over a mode key 1 selected by being depressed turns on and at the same time, a selective pilot lamp 2b on the left-hand side and over a function key 2 turns on. When the function key 2 which corresponds to the lighting pilot lamp 2b is depressed, a selective pilot lamp 2a over and on the right-hand side of it turns on. At this time, >=1 of indication pilot lamps 3a, 4a and 5a for operation order turn on to indicate a key which should be or can be operated next. A user only depresses keys 3, 4 and 5 according to the pilot lamps 3a, 4a and 5a, and consequently the user never operates in wrong operation order without being familiar with the operation order, thus relieving a load on the user.
