ROTATING POSITION DETECTOR FOR ROTARY BODY

PURPOSE:To simplify the mounting of a detector and to effectively secure it against the vibration at the time of operating a motor by interposing an elastic material between an outer housing and a photodetector and coupling and securing the photodetector to a light emitting unit. CONSTITUTION:An elastic material 16 made of rubber material is interposed between an outer housing 1 and a photodetector 13, and the photodetector 13 is coupled to and secured to a light emitting element 12. In coupling and assembling sequence, a phototransistor 2 is contained and secured to a photodetecting source securing base 3, the lead terminal 4 of the phototransistor 2 is inserted into the wiring hole of a circuit board 6 to intimately contact it with the board 6, and is soldered. Then, a lead wire 5 for connecting an external circuit is soldered to another wiring hole electrically connected to the terminal 4, is externally taken out, and is clamped with screws while positioning a light shielding plate 10, a rotary disk 8 and the element 12.
